Made call for cooling upon arrival. No abnormal smells upon walking into home. Custoemr stated around 3-330am she got up and went to living room. Smelt burning. Woke husband up. Husband shut off system through thermostat. Opened window to dissipate smell had system running for roughly 10 minutes. Technician nor customer could smell burning smell. Had customer sniff near furnace. Customer did not smell burning smell from morning. No sign of burning or overheating with blower motor. Control board has browning near resistor. Roughly 2001 furnace. Nothing abnormal in blower wheel, coil or housing. Advised possibly overheating inside blower motor. Also could be board , but hesitant with smell being strong enough to sense throughout home. lack of signs of overheating made it hard to determine where smell is source. With age of system customer would rather replace system then put money towards this unit. On schedule for quote this evening.
