Arrived at a home in the Britton Farms neighborhood in Hilliard where the homeowner had gotten a quote saying the ductless mini-split in their addition needed a new compressor and was not worth repairing. They called us for a second look. Inspected the unit and found the compressor was pulling normal amperage. The actual problem was a refrigerant leak at the line set connection that had brought the charge down low enough to cause poor cooling and early high-pressure trips that looked like compressor failure without a proper diagnosis. Repaired the leak, pressure tested and recharged the system, and ran it through a full cooling cycle. Running perfectly and no compressor needed.
Arrived on site to replace the existing HVAC system after confirming the evaporator coil TXV had failed. Removed the existing furnace, evaporator coil, and condenser, then installed a new Bryant furnace, evaporator coil, and air conditioning system. Connected new refrigerant lines, drain, gas, electrical, venting, and control wiring as required, evacuated and charged the system, and performed startup procedures. Verified proper heating and cooling operation, checked airflow and refrigerant performance, cleaned the work area, and reviewed system operation with the homeowner.
Heat Pump Installation: Replaced an aging heat pump system that had become inefficient and unreliable in both heating and cooling modes with a new high-efficiency unit. Removed the existing outdoor condenser and indoor air handler, installed the new matched system, routed updated refrigerant lines and control wiring, evacuated and charged the system to manufacturer specifications, and programmed the thermostat for optimal staging. Tested reversing valve operation in both heating and cooling modes to confirm smooth, dependable year-round comfort.
