Wally from Sears came today to perform our fall furnace check. He called early within the appointment window, arrived promptly in uniform (with matching mask,) and could not have been more efficient - he was in and out in under 30 minutes - or friendlier. Sears keeps our old equipment running in top shape, and I know we’re ready for another safe season of heating.

2020 American standard heat pump. Back to replace defrost control board, ambient sensor and coil bottom sensor. Unable to get unit thawed. Tried forcing unit into defrost several times and running water over the unit. It is to cold outside to get the ice thawed. Let customer know to leave system set to emergency heat until unit has thawed then they can begin running the heat pump.

Replaced failed main limit. Gas pressures were high causing unit to shut off due to overheating. Work performed on a Bryant furnace. Advised customer that gas valves can drift over time and cause unit to short cycling. Recommended joining our maintenance program to keep unit in good working order

Dirty filter was causing the furnace to shut down due to high temperature in unit. Unit is a Bryant furnace

2020 American standard heat pump. Found outdoor coil frozen with roughly 2 inches of ice. System goes into defrost mode according to temperature, cannot make adjustments to defrost. Tested defrost mode and system entered mode without issues but is not staying in defrost mode long enough to defrost coil. Need to return to replace defrost board and coil temperature sensor. System is under full parts and labor warranty. Let customer know needs to be replaced. Let them know we would call them Monday with scheduling for me to return and complete repairs.
